Created by the Art Nouveau artist, Georges Pierre, c. 1900, this dogwood pendant necklace is composed of horn, resin and grosgrain ribbon. The large circular open pendant formed of translucent tinted, shaded and carved horn is designed as an iridescent mass of pink dogwood blossoms on fragile brown stems, with shaded rose-hued resin drop, suspended from a black grosgrain ribbon with two pink striated glass beads, in a Morocco and velvet fitted box. With its magical translucence and rich colors, this rare, featherlight and wearable flower jewel is a work of artistic hands, and an Art Nouveau homage of nature.
